Pretty Plaid Tag

Supplies Needed:

1. Paint Shop Pro (duh). Any version you have, but I'm using 8. Version 7 has the same filters, but in different places.

2. Tube of your choice- You can get the one I used HERE. I forget where I got this tube from, but the original file name is still intact.

3. Toadies Filter

Step One:

Open your tube file.

Open a new image 304 X 228

Using your dropper tool , pick a up a color from your tube. I'm using #BA7784. Flood fill your image with this color.

On your tube image, go up to "Edit" and then "Copy" and then on your new image go up to "Edit" and then "Paste" and then "Paste As New Layer".

Position the tube so it's towards the left of your background, and then merge all layers.

Step Three:

On your top tool bar, click on "Effects" and then on "Texture Effects" and then on "Blinds"

Apply with the following settings:

Width: 2
Opacity: 60
Color: White
Horizontal: Checked
Light from left/top: Checked

Step Four:

Paste a new layer of your tube on top of this layer.

Go up to "Image" and then "Resize" and resize your new layer by 70% making sure that the box next to "Resize All Layers" is NOT checked.

Go up to "Image" and then "Mirror".

Position your tube to the right side of your tag. Merge all layers.

Step Five:

Paste a new layer of your tube on top of this layer.

Go up to "Image" and then "Resize" and resize your new layer by 50% making sure that the box next to "Resize All Layers" is NOT checked.

Reduce your tube by 40% or however much is necessary for it to fit top to bottom on your background. Position the tube so that it is on the far left of your background.

Apply a drop shadow to the tube.

Step Six:

Merge all layers.

Go up to "Selections" and then "Select All".

Go back up to "Selections" and then "Modify" and then "Contract". You will want to contract your selection by 10 pixels.

Go back up to "Selections" and then "Invert".

Flood fill the selection with the same color you choose earlier from your tube.

Step Seven:

On your top tool bar, click on "Effects" and then "PlugIns" (This could be 1 or 2 depending on where you have installed your plugins) and then to "Toadies", choose "What are you?" with the following settings:

Overdose: 45

Step Eight:

Paste a new layer of your tube on top of this layer.

Go up to "Image" and then "Resize" and resize your new layer by 50% making sure that the box next to "Resize All Layers" is NOT checked.

Reduce your tube by 40% or however much is necessary for it to fit top to bottom on your background. Position the tube so that it is on the far left of your background.

Apply a drop shadow to the tube.

Finishing Up:

Go up to your top tool bar and choose "Layers" and then "Merge" and then "Merge Visible". You can at this point resize your image, I happen to like to work on them big, but I like smaller tags.

You would at this point add whatever name or text you want on the tag.

As a final step, you would go to "Layers" and then "Merge" and then "Merge All".

That's it, you are done!
