Blurred Texture
Tag
| Supplies Needed:
1. Paint Shop Pro (duh). Any version
you have, but I'm using 8. Version 7 has the same filters, but in
different places.
2. Tube of your choice- Works best
with a face or person tube.
3. Image of your choice. Make sure
the colors of your image compliment the colors in your tube.
|
 |
| Step One:
Open up the image you are going to
use to make your background. The image that I used is to the left.
Click on it to get the full sized image. A new window will open.
Crop your image so that it is the
size you want your finished tag to be.
|
 |
| Step Two:
On your top tool bar, click on
"Adjust" and then "Blur" and then "Motion
Blur".
Apply using the following
settings: Angle: 90 Strength: 40%
Do this three or more times until you
get an effect that you like. |
 |
| Step
Three: Open your tube and
copy it. Paste as a new layer onto the background you just
created. Using your deform tool
, resize your tube until it fits on your background from top to
bottom, and then move to one side of your image. |
 |
| Step Four:
Click on your Selection Tool
,
and use the following settings: Selection Type: Ellipse
Mode: Replace Feather: 35
Select a portion of the side of the
tube, and hit delete. Keep doing this until you have cleared some
of the hard edge of your tube. Once you are satisfied with the way
your tube looks, go up to "Selections" and then "Select None".
|

|
| Step
Five:
On your top tool bar, click on
"Layers" and then "Properties" and then move the
opacity level down so that some of the background is visible
through your tube. I've set mine at 80%, you do NOT have to do
this step if you like the way it looks already.
Once you are happy with the way your
tag looks, go up to "Layers" and then "Merge" and then "Merge
All".
|

|
| Step Six:
On your top tool bar, go up to "Edit"
and then "Copy".
Open a new image 500x500 with a
transparent background.
Go to "Edit" and then "Paste" and
then "Paste as New Layer".
Apply a drop shadow to your tag using
the settings to your right.
|

|
| Step Seven:
On your top tool bar, go up to "Edit"
and then "Copy".
Go right back to "Edit" and then
"Paste" and then "Paste As New Image". |

|
| Finishing Up:
Go up to your top tool bar and choose
"Layers" and then "Merge" and then "Merge All (Flatten)",
You would at this point add whatever
name or text you want on the tag.

|
That's
it, you are done!
